Take Courage! It is I; Do Not Be Afraid

Sometimes life can shake us up, throw us down and we forget who is among us.

Jesus has manifested Himself to us completely.(John 14:21)

Just because there are storms of life, we loose the sight of Him through whom we have received gracious gift of eternal life. Sometimes our little faith forgets His abundant gracious love on us.

But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, [a]it is I; do not be afraid.”(Matt 14:27)

Powerful words of Jesus which ignited fire in Peter to do the impossible walk of faith on water by trusting in Him(Matt 14:29) completely who is The Creator and control the elements of nature.

We walk through the storm with Him but sometimes even while we are trusting Him, we give more importance to the external factors of this world which is not for us-fear, anxiety, pain and distress in life and like Peter start drowning in the walk of faith.

BUT let us take delight, even with the troubles if we call to Him like Peter trusted Him while He drowned in the storm. The eagerness and cry and still having faith in Jesus that He will save him in the extreme.(Matt 14:30)

3 portions of Peter’s life we could see in that same moment
->faith->fear-> faith

We can see Faith allowed him to walk on water. External worldly fear allowed him to distrust the magnificent power of Jesus who can do anything and Faith again allowed him to be pulled out by Jesus' OWN HANDS.

He restores everyone who has faith in Him no matter the troubles and pains of life.

Peter who had little faith and renounced The Lord three times became the stone on which church of Christ is built. How faith took deepest roots in Him and every storm(persecution etc) was quiet when He trusted in Him.

Jesus Himself prayed for Peter and Peter did so much for Jews, gentiles and Samaritans.(Book of Acts)

“There is no fear in love[Gracious unmerited sacrificial love of Jesus through the sovereignty of Father in Holy Spirit; God’s full love], but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.[when there is no punishment and only grace is abounding will we not be perfected in unmerited love to God’s own image in which He created us]” (1 John 4:18)

Moreover, how can our faith be weak, hasn't Jesus told us
“My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”
Everything that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I certainly will not cast out
(John 10:29, 6:37)

How much more will He not love to do for you?!
